SEPLOS MASON-280-N DIY – stackable 48 V battery kit

Important: battery cells are not included. This is not a ready-made 14.3 kWh or 16 kWh battery. Final capacity, energy, weight, electrical limits and cycle life depend on the sixteen cells selected and installed by the customer. This offer includes the stackable enclosure, BMS, active balancing and installation parts for a 16S LiFePO4 assembly.

LiFePO4 cells are not supplied. Check the package against the current SEPLOS packing list before assembly.

Compatible cells and resulting capacity

The manufacturer lists support for sixteen prismatic GF/LISHEN/EVE 280 Ah, EVE 304 Ah and EVE MB31 314 Ah cells. Available examples have body dimensions around 72 × 174 × 200–204 mm, while terminal spacing may be 89 or 123 mm. Compare the exact drawing, terminal position and terminal construction before buying cells; the 280/304/314 Ah label alone does not guarantee mechanical compatibility.

Sixteen identical cells produce a nominal system voltage of approximately 51.2 V. Nominal energy follows from the selected cell capacity. The DIY kit itself has no capacity in kWh and must not be treated as a complete battery.

Inverter compatibility

CAN and RS485 are physical interfaces. Operation with a specific inverter depends on the battery protocol, firmware, wiring and settings. Give us the exact inverter manufacturer and model before ordering and we will check the available documentation. Closed-loop BMS-to-inverter communication cannot be guaranteed without confirmation.

Assembly and commissioning

1. Verify the matching, condition, dimensions, polarity and terminal design of all sixteen cells.
2. Follow the current SEPLOS procedure, all insulation parts, mechanical restraints and the specified BMS and busbar connection sequence.
3. Tighten terminals with a calibrated tool to the exact cell-manufacturer specification; no universal torque is invented here.
4. Before connecting power cables, verify polarity, protection, isolation, cable cross-section, grounding and communication wiring.
5. Carry out initial charging/balancing for the selected cells and BMS, then check every cell measurement, protection function, active balancer and communication.

Safety

Assembly involves extremely high short-circuit currents. Reversed polarity, a loose connection, missing insulation, an incorrect sequence or unsuitable cells can cause fire, injury or equipment destruction. Assembly is for a qualified person only. Never bypass the BMS or fuse and never work on an energised assembly. IP20 requires a dry indoor location.

Stock and delivery

The supplier confirms 20 units in the German warehouse. Delivery is charged according to actual weight, destination and selected carrier. Free shipping is not included. Only personal pickup at the Mělník warehouse is free, after order readiness has been confirmed.

Warranty and documents

The attached official SEPLOS Warranty Agreement 2026 provides, for products within its scope, five years of free warranty and parts during years 5–10 while the buyer pays freight, service and other costs. For a DIY kit without cells, component coverage and qualified-assembly conditions must be assessed from the order and complete agreement. This is not a fully free ten-year warranty on a customer-assembled battery.

The attached MASON-280 specification describes a reference complete pack and is supplied only as model-family documentation. Figures for the complete 280Ah/14.3kWh pack must not be confused with the properties of this empty kit.
