Fast heat and short-term storage in one heater
TECHNOTHERM Dynamo 1500 S combines the quick response of an electric heater with the thermal inertia of two rows of fireclay storage blocks. It is purpose-designed to shift electricity use into periods when self-generated solar power or lower-cost grid energy is available. After registration, its factory-fitted Shelly 1PM Gen3 relay can be connected to Clever-PV for automatic switching based on measured PV surplus, price signals, schedules or the state of an optional battery.
The Shelly is not an external dealer-added accessory: the relay is built into the heater at the factory. The front-panel TTB electronic thermostat separately manages room temperature and weekly schedules. Remote room-temperature and programme control through TTi Smart Control is a separate comfort-control function; Clever-PV integration manages the storage circuit according to available energy.
How the two storage zones work
Dynamo has two independent heating circuits. The front 1.5 kW HK1 circuit supplies heat during main occupancy periods, while the rear 1.5 kW HK2 circuit charges the storage section. For safety, the controls interlock the circuits so they cannot operate simultaneously. This keeps the active input to one circuit at a time, allows a faster response than a traditional large storage heater and still provides stored heat after electrical input has stopped. The manufacturer states heat carry-over of up to approximately three hours, depending on operating conditions.

PV integration
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 relay is built into the heater. During commissioning it is first registered in the Shelly app, integrator access is enabled and the Shelly account is then linked to Clever-PV. In Clever-PV, the heater is added as a smart-controlled switch. The storage circuit can then be managed by schedules, target times, electricity price signals, measured solar surplus or the state of a connected battery store.
Clever-PV is a third-party service and is not included with the heater. Operation from actual surplus requires compatible metering or PV-system data. The heater's power connection and commissioning must be performed by a qualified professional. The three-hour figure is a manufacturer maximum; actual carry-over depends on core temperature, settings, room conditions and building heat loss.
